SASPORTS.COM - PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This past Sunday I was baptized in the Guadalupe River. It marks what I hope to be a change in all aspects of my life. Those who have known me also know what the youth of San Antonio and South Texas means to me. I also feel that at this time, I must start everything in my life with a clean slate. And I want to thank each and every one of the coaches, students, alumni, parents, officials, administrators, teachers, fans, and others who have helped keep this dream alive called SAsports.com since 2001.

For all of those who have made promises to me regarding SAsports.com and not followed through, I forgive you completely. Let's talk and start anew.

For all of those who I have made promises to regarding SAsports.com and not followed through, I am deeply sorry. Let's talk and start anew.

We are changing the focus of SAsports.com, and how we cover the positive publicity of high school students. Here are the changes to come:

1. New website. We will be redesigning the SAsports.com website to make it easier and more interactive. It will also allow us to post and update much faster than in the past. We won't slow the website down with flash and other annoying features.

2. New focus. When SAsports.com started, we were all about touching stories, pictures, scores, standings, and such. We have gotten away from the individual student spotlight, and we are going to bring it back big time. And while we are still going to do the football scoreboard (more on that later), the other sports will be more about the recaps and standings, and less about the scores.

3. Getting back out to the smaller schools. Over the past several years, we have gotten away from as many small-school tour stops as we used to do in the past. That will change immediately. We do have to charge (Three bankruptcies in 11 years says we have to), but where the school can't afford us, we will get sponsors - anything, to get back out to Shiner, Harper, Charlotte, Dilley, Kenedy, and other small schools.

4. Friday night football live scoreboard. We have a radio station in Radio San Antonio. This year, we will use it much more. And no where will that be more evident than on Friday nights during football season. The 11pm-midnight show is gone. Replacing it is something everyone will love, especially if you're at a game and wish to keep up on all of the area scores. Starting Week Zero, The SAsports.com Live Football Scoreboard show will take place 7pm-11pm on Radio San Antonio. Listen on your iPhone or Android, and not be distracted from the game you're watching. We will be updating scores, talking, having fun, and giving you what you want.

5. The return of the Message Board, and the Pick'em Contest! 'Nuff said.

6. Partnerships. From now on, we will partner with everyone. There will be no exclusivity contracts. We extend the olive branch to all who share our common goal.

Remember what I said...

For all of those who have made promises to me regarding SAsports.com and not followed through, I forgive you completely. Let's talk and start anew.

For all of those who I have made promises to regarding SAsports.com and not followed through, I am deeply sorry. Let's talk and start anew.

Now... let's get to work, and put SAsports.com back together.

Thanks so much - and God bless you all.
