Congratulations to the Mighty Eagle band for earning 31 years of consecutive UIL first divisions this past Saturday. All of their hard work, dedication and many hours of practice paid off as the band received straight ones. The band will hopefully compete at Bands of America which will take place on October 29th at the Alamo dome.  “Eyes with Pride Mighty Eagle Band”.

After a slow start the Lady Eagles were able to work as a team and swept the Del Rio Lady Queens, last Saturday, winning in three straight games.

This Saturday the lady Eagles will play Laredo Cigarroa which currently holds the number three spot in the district. The Lady Eagles must win to keep pace with Laredo Alexander for the number one spot. If both teams win out, they will play one game to determine which team will be the district champion.  Saturday is “Senior Night” so let’s go out and support our Lady Eagles.

Even though our football team didn’t fare well against the Del Rio Rams last Friday, we are very proud of our team and know they will get back on the winning track. This Friday, we will host Laredo Nixon for our homecoming game.   We look forward to another victory and keeping our playoff hopes alive.
“Go Eagles Baby!”
