Hey Panther Fans!
I apologize for not writing these past few weeks. Things have been extremely busy here at the Canyon, but I'm excited to tell you all about the amazing accomplishments that our school has done!
First of all, congratulations to our NC Football team for having a spectacular season. The Panthers finished with a 7-4 record and made an appearance in the 2011 Playoffs! NC had not seen a playoff game in 22 years, so congrats boys on bringing back the winning tradition. We are extremely proud of you!
Another congratulations is in order for our Mighty Panther Band. They received 9th place at the 2011 Marching State Championship! This was the band's fourth consecutive appearance at the State level, so congrats band on keeping the "tradition of excellence" alive!
Basketball season is here and both the Panthers and Lady Panthers have taken center court for some b-ball action. The Lady Panthers have a winning record of 5-2 so far this season, while the Panthers have a record of 2-4. Despite their losses, both teams are showing improvement and the season is only looking brighter!
Both teams will be participating in the SWTJC Tournament later this week, so be sure to go out and support our teams!
