I hope all alumni were able to attend the Homecoming game this past Friday as the Mighty Javelinas defeated the Somerset Bulldogs 42-7!! Senior running back, Desmon Battle ran the ball for his 2 touchdowns of the night, seniors, Dustin McNeil and Turi Lopez combined for 2 touchdowns. Senior Quarterback Jay Rodriguez connected with Jesse Guajadro for a touchdown. The Javelinas are 4-1 in district play, and will take on the Kennedy Rockets this Friday. 


    
The Lady Javelinas defeated the Hondo Lady Owls this Saturday, 28-26, 15-25, 24-26, 25-22, 15-13. Kills, Jennifer Cisneros 12; assists, Amy Aguillon 12; digs, Krizelma Flores 22; blocks, Carol Puente 5; aces, Yvonne Sendejo, Flores 2. It was close throughout the whole game; the Lady Javs played with heart, and got the job done. Junior, Captain Krizelma Flores commented about the game, “It was tough, we played together as a team, and that made all the difference. We relied on each other, and trust each other on the court. Not once did we put our head down, we stayed positive and rose to the challenge.”  The Lady Javelinas are 2-1 in district play and will take on the Lady Mavericks this Tuesday.

The Cross Country team has been on the go, making their mark and preparing for the district meet. With the continuation of their hard and much dedicated practice, the Mighty Javelina cross country team will nevertheless show up at the district meet prepared and ready to dominate.
