This article is dedicated to Jose Silva, Fox Tech's only senior on the 2008 baseball team.
We'll miss you buddy, but we'll love you forever!
'JOSE SIIIIIIILVA'! "
The Fox Tech Buffaloes closed out the 2008 season with a very hard fought win against the Lanier Voks this past Tuesday, with a score of 4-3. There was a surprise post game celebration planned by the Fox Tech Diamond Girls, regardless what the outcome of the game were to be.
Mark Morales pitched this game with 7 strikeouts.
Scoring in this game were Justin Contreras with two runs, one of which was a homerun, Alexis Pruneda, and JD Castillo both with two runs. RBIs were earned by Jose Silva and Nelson Ramirez with one RBI and Justin Contreras with two RBIs.

The Diamond Girls planned over the weekend, a post game/end of the season celebration for the guys to say "we love you!" and are very proud of the season. The Buffaloes ended the season 7-19-1 yet they were number one in our book. We spent Monday getting goodies for little spirit bags for the season long Varsity, and bowls upon bowls of candy for those JV members that were bumped up and put on the roster. Red and white streamers, posters and spirit bags decorated the baseball locker rooms once they got back. We stayed behind when they went on the bus, so that we could decorate and left the stadium before they did, so we could pull all the chocolate out of the fridge.

The lights were turned off and when they opened the door, we jumped up and yelled, "SURPRISE!!" and they were pretty freaked out. They just stood at the door, with somewhat of a scared look on their faces not exactly figuring out what was going on. But soon they realized that we did this all for them, as well as the coaches. They enjoyed the goodies, and the little "inside jokes" from the dugout that we wrote on the bags.

On behalf of all the girls, we were terrified that they wouldn't appreciate it the way we wanted to. But they did and we got lots of hugs and thank you's and "I freakin’ love you Ellie!" which were great!

One of the best things of the night was a parent that said she reads my every last article, and prints every one too.
Knowing that what I write is read and printed and enjoyed was the best thing that I have ever heard, and made my month.
It darn near brought me to tears.
So as this school year comes to a close, I want to personally say thank you to the entire coaching staff at Fox Tech, for being such a loving bunch and making being a trainer/statistician a thoroughly enjoyable activity. And to the varsity baseball coaches, John Gallardo and Israel Ramon, for being like second and third fathers to me, no matter WHAT we go through and for me letterman! =)
This year was a great year for me in school and in SAsports.com. I've met some great people from writing for Jay.
And with this I'd like to bid, good luck to the Brackenridge High School and Edison High School columnists, Julian Brazil and Jennifer Martinez, respectively. These two talented writers have dear, dear places in my hearts and as they go off to college, I know that they will succeed in whatever endeavor they choose to follow. I love you two so much and will miss you greatly.

This now is the end of my Junior year and will soon be a SENIOR!
And you can expect the great Buffalo action next year straight from the sidelines, and the dugout in their appropriate seasons.
Everyone have a wonderful end of the school year and a safe summer!
To every senior out there; congrats, good luck and god bless.

Thank you for reading!
