Incarnate Word HS and Holy Cross entered Wednesday’s game with unblemished district records.
The Incarnate Word Shamrocks would remain undefeated in District as they hold on to win 41-40. Incarnate Word improves to 6-0 in District & 13-10 overall, Holy Cross moves to 4-1 in District & 20-7 overall.

Thanks to all who showed up last night at Incarnate Word High School for our Volleyball Tour Stop, as the Shamrocks defeated Bracken Christian three games to none in non-district play.
And it was a great night for coach Nicki Gonzales, as she was honored before the game on her 100th win as the IWHS head coach. It was a very memorable night; let’s do it again soon, Shamrocks!

Medina Valley took time off from their district 29-4A schedule to take on the Incarnate Word Shamrocks Monday evening.
And Incarnate Word continued their impressive season, defeating the Panthers 25-13, 25-9, 25-20 in Castroville. The Shamrocks improved to 28-5 overall.

The Smithson Valley Rangers took time off from their brutal 26-5A schedule to take on the Incarnate Word Shamrocks Monday night.
But Incarnate Word is a brutal opponent as well, defeating the Rangers 19-25, 26-24, 25-22, 25-9 at Smithson Valley’s middle school gymnasium.

Alamo Heights took a break from their 27-4A schedule, taking on the Incarnate Word Shamrocks Monday night.
The Lady Mules pounded out 10 hits on their way to a 10-3 victory.
Natalie Weyand of Alamo Heights held the Shamrocks to six hits in seven innings, garnering her 5th victory of the season.

For the first time since SAsports.com began in 2001, there won’t be a state volleyball champion among our 130 schools that we cover.
Both the Lake Travis Cavaliers and the Shiner Comanches fell at the state tourney, with Lake Travis losing in five games, and Shiner in four.
Congratulations to both programs; less than one percent of Texas high school athletes have the opportunity to play at a state tournament, and these girls worked hard to get there this year.
Also, congratulations to Antonian and Incarnate Word volleyball teams; two weeks earlier, they played at the TAPPS state tournament, with the Apaches falling in the semifinals, and the Shamrocks losing in the finals.

Take part in the 2nd Annual Shamrock Classic, Saturday November 15 at Hyatt Hill Country Golf Club.
All money raised at the golf classic goes to the athletic programs at Incarnate Word High School. Those programs include basketball, cheerleading, cross-country, dance, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
All entries include a goodie bag, driving range access, green fees and cart, on course refreshments, and a post-tournament luncheon, the cost is $150 per individual and $600 for foursome.
Come out and support Incarnate Word Athletics!
