Sorry it has taken so long for us to get back to everybody.  Angela and I have been entirely too busy.  The week of Dec. 10 to Dec.14 has been the week of final exams for students taking dual credit courses out at the college.  Good luck to everyone taking the tests!

Next on the list would be to talk about how the girls and boys basketball seasons have been going.  The boys’ basketball team competed in the SWTJC tournament to bring home a third place trophy.  In the first round the team played La Pryor and won with a 81 to 48 deficit.

In the second round, the Rockcrushers were defeated with a score of 49-64.  The boys came back as promised with a win for third against Leakey with a score of 76 to 56.

The girls team is doing very well with a record of 11 wins and 2 losses.  They, too, competed in the SWTJC tourney to bring home second place.  First round they defeated La Pryor with a score of 54-21.  Second round the girls took on Nueces Canyon to overcome them with a score of 38 to 37.  Last but not least, the most exciting and rough game of all took place against D’Hanis in the championship, the girls fought hard, but fell a little short.  If more teamwork were used the girls could have come back.  With a final score of 41 to 46, the Lady Crushers were forced to shrug the loss off and look forward to the next game that following Tuesday.
